Amanda Newman, DVM

I grew up in the Greater New Orleans area and graduated with honors from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. After practicing in various clinics in the area over the past 18 years, I am thrilled to be a part of the Crescent City Vet family now. I have a wonderful human family that includes my husband Sam, and my amazing daughters Jasmine and Jaden. We also have krewe of rescue animals that include a goofy German Shepherd named Sid, Penito the lively Maltese, a spunky Pomeranian named Mer, three cats, two rats, and the sweetest disabled opossum. I enjoy drawing, reading, and love spending time with my family — we love our games of badminton together. You can also find me at Coconut beach playing volleyball with my volleyball team!
