Elisabeth Ducoing, DVM CVA

I was born and raised in the New Orleans area, attending St. Mary’s Dominican High School before moving on to get my undergraduate degree at Louisiana State University. I graduated from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2018, and also obtained my veterinary acupuncture certification from the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine in Florida shortly before graduation. Since then I have been back in my hometown practicing this mix of Eastern and Western small animal medicine and I am so excited to be able to bring acupuncture and my integrative medicine style to the patients of Crescent City Vet! When I am not working, I enjoy spending time cooking and playing around in my vegetable garden with my husband Grant and our 3 dogs Lena, Alby, and Duke!

Mardi Gras or Jazz Fest?

Mardi Gras! You can catch my entire family on St. Charles Ave every year decked out in purple, green, and gold and having a blast! I am even part of a marching group The Merry Antoinettes!

What’s one thing that would surprise people about you?

I am a twin!

If I weren’t so damn good at my job, I’d probably be ..

at home cooking my way through all of my favorite cookbooks.

Favorite movie or TV show?

All the Harry Potter movies!

What is your favorite family tradition?

Every year my family and friends get together in the fall for Oktoberfest at the Deutsches Haus and in the summer for Running of the Bulls in New Orleans! We love getting to have fun in this crazy city together!
